They're hoofing it across the state, and they're starting today. The Brazos County Walk Across Texas kicked off this morning at Post Oak Mall.
Folks started off their Saturday with some group aerobics and a stroll through the mall.
Teams of eight are trying to exercise as much as they can, before April 18th. For every 15 minutes of continuous exercise, a group member earns one mile for his or her team.
The goal is to accumulate 832 miles, or the distance from Orange to El Paso. Last year, 1,000 people from the Brazos Valley walked across Texas.
