Three people are dead and a fourth seriously injured following a head-on collision in Grimes County.
The wreck happened about 3:20 p.m. Monday on Highway 105 one mile west of Plantersville. The Department of Public Safety said a Pontiac passenger car travelling west crossed the center line and hit an east-bound Ford pickup.
All three passengers in the car, two males and one female, were pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the pickup was air-lifted to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The name of the injured driver was not released.
