The same week one coach is fired, two others get pay raises.
Football Coach Dennis Franchione and Basketball Coach Billy Gillispie are getting an extra $300,000 a year thanks to the board of regents.
That means Coach Fran's pay will reach 2 million and Gillispie will pull in a cool mil.
Athletic Director Bill Byrne says the salaries are more competitive to what other coaches are making.
The money will be added to their supplemental income that comes from endorsements and public appearances.
