A longtime local parks director is coming home. Marcos "Tony" Cisneros has been named the new head of the city of College Station's Parks and Recreation Department.
Cisneros comes to College Station from Mesquite where he managed the city's parks and recreation department. But most will remember him from his nine years as director of Bryan Parks and Recreation during the 1990's.
During that time, Cisneros worked closely with then-College Station Parks Director Steve Beachy on a number of community projects. Coincidentally, that is who he is replacing following Beachy's retirement in November.
