Brazos Valley Burn Bans: The following counties are under a Burn Ban: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Washington
A Bryan woman has been arrested and indicted in connection with the murder of her own mother whose body was found buried in the backyard of her Oak Hollow residence.
Kelly Sifuentez, 41, was taken into custody shortly after noon Thursday at the home she once shared with her mother Geraldine Lloyd, 63. Her arrest came after a Brazos County grand jury determined enough evidence existed to link Sifuentez to Lloyd's death. Her former boyfriend, Christopher Olsen, 20, is also charged with Lloyd's murder and the murder of her neighbor Etta Jean Westbrook, 68.
Sifuentez and Olsen were living with Lloyd last June in the 3500 block of Oak Hollow in Bryan when police received a tip that Lloyd had been killed and buried in the backyard. Police said Sifuentez told them her mother was staying in Houston.
After obtaining a search warrant for the property, authorities found Lloyd's remains buried in a shallow grave. An autopsy revealed she had been buried since early 2007.
