The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce wants to incorporate its town, but not everybody is on board.
A group opposed to incorporation called 'Save Our Chappell Hill' is hosting a public forum Tuesday, February 26. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the St. Stanislaus Church Community Center.
Organizers say they want to inform residents about incorporation before they vote on the issue in May's election. Speakers will talk about how public safety, utilities and tax structure will be impacted if they incorporate.
The Chamber of Commerce says by becoming a city in Washington County, they'll be able to manage growth and maintain or improve property values.
