Bryan Man Indicted in Deadly Hit and Run

A Bryan man accused of running down two women New Year's Eve, killing one of them, was indicted Thursday by a Brazos County Grand Jury.

Enrique Ibarra, 40, is charged with two counts of causing an accident involving injury or death.

Police believe Ibarra was driving his Dodge van when authorities say he hit 28-year-old Yvonne Zaragoza and 30-year-old Ester Gonzales, who were walking on Ursuline Avenue in Bryan.

Both women were taken to the hospital, where Zaragoza died. Gonzales was seriously hurt.

Ibarra left the scene of the accident and later turned himself into authorities.
