Like his namesake, the alleged Santa Claus Bandit proved Thursday he can cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time.
Bank robbery suspect Patrick Bigelow, 44, was transferred to the Giddings jail from the Waller County jail where he has been locked up since his February 22 arrest in Brookshire. Once he arrived, Bigelow was charged with the February 6 holdup of the Capital One Bank in Giddings. He was then taken to the Lee County jail, but had to be transferred to the Milam County jail due to overcrowding.
Bigelow's bail is set at $1 million. He's also a suspect in at least four other Texas bank robberies including the January 22 Citibank heist in College Station.
