Bryan Man Dies from Injuries in Motorcycle Accident

A Bryan man has died one week after crashing his motorcycle in an accident that turned into a criminal investigation.

Michael Jones, 41 died Saturday night at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Bryan police say on June 11th, Jones was in a motorcycle accident at FM 2818 and Highway 6 and then taken to his home.

Emergency personnel found Jones in his garage unconscious with broken ribs and severe head trauma.

Five people were arrested, accused of taking part in an attempted cover-up of the accident.
Marshall Berry, Michael Brammer and Victoria Brammer, and Lori Salango all of Bryan, and Stacy Townsend, a Brazos County resident were charged with lying to police.

According to police documents, the five told police they made the story up so Jones wouldn't get in trouble for drinking and driving.

Police are awaiting autopsy results before presenting evidence to the District Attorney's office to consider more charges.
