A Chappell Hill man is sentenced to seven years in prison for manslaughter after his murder trial ended in a hung jury.
Lee Van Parker, 36 was accused of killing Sandra Ramos and dumping her body on the side of the road.
The body of the San Antonio woman was found in February 2003 along U.S. 290 in Burton.
During Parker's trial, the defense argued Ramos fell from the car and was killed when she was run over.
The Washington County District Attorney's office says it offered the plea agreement because it felt it couldn't prove Parker killed Ramos before she left the car.
