A repeat offender from Arlington received a life sentence Friday for robbing a College Station bank at gunpoint.
Judge Rick Davis sentenced Chuck Oliver to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of Aggravated Robbery.
Oliver, 39, along with three other men, tied up two employees and robbed the State Bank in 2006, according to court documents.
Oliver had seven previous convictions for Aggravated Robbery. His minimum sentence was 25 years.
Assistant District Attorney Jarvis Parsons said, "We are happy with the jury's verdict. We believe a life sentence sends a strong message to those who want to come to our community and commit violent crimes."
