Travis Bryan III To Take The Bench

Local attorney Travis Bryan III will become Brazos County's 272nd District Judge, according to Governor Rick Perry's office.

A spokesperson for the governor's office says Bryan will officially be appointed on Monday. Bryan says a swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for March 17.

Senator Steve Ogden could have vetoed the appointment. Senator Ogden told News 3 on Friday that he will approve the nomination.

Rick Davis resigned as judge so he can run for District Attorney against Bill Turner.
