A 53-year old Bryan man died after his pickup was hit by an 18-wheeler Friday afternoon.
Lorenzo Maldonado-Chavira was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on Highway 30. DPS says Maldonado-Chavira was turning onto 30 when an east-bound 18 wheeler smashed into the driver's side of the pickup. The deceased was not wearing a seatbelt.
The truck driver was uninjured.
