A Plantersville man is out of the hospital after police say his common law wife shot him.
Grimes County officials say a 29-year-old man and his 24-year-old wife were fighting when she shot him in the leg.
The man was taken by a friend to Tomball Hospital where he was treated and released.
The woman told police she shot her husband because he was attacking her.
Authorities say the woman suffered a broken nose and they believe the shooting was in self-defense.
No arrests have been made.
