Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, Saturday afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
A Bryan City Councilman's son is behind bars accused in a hit and run accident.
Joe Marin III was arrested this afternoon. His bond is set at $70,000. Marin is charged with evading arrest, driving with a suspended license, and causing an accident.
Police believe Marin fled the scene after hitting two parked cars and a tree at a Bryan house July 23.
There is another warrant out for Marin's brother, Ruben, who is accused of making a false report. He has not been arrested.
