HUNSTVILLE, Texas -- Four people are dead after the car they were in collided head-on with an 18-wheeler on I-45 near Huntsville Friday night.
Their names haven't been released. The driver was taken to the
hospital but a condition wasn't available.
A witness told DPS the victims' car was headed southbound when a truck veered into its lane. The car's driver overcorrected and went through the median into the northbound lane, hitting the 18-wheeler.
Authorities say the 18-wheeler overturned onto the car, forcing it back into the median. The 18-wheeler caught on fire after the 5:30 crash.
Part of I-45 is closed.
