Authorities say it was his green thumb that landed a Willis resident in an orange jump suit. Charles Anthony, 39, was arrested Tuesday after a raid on his mobile home turned up 79 marijuana plants, $500 in cash and a handgun.

Montgomery County Sheriff investigators say a bedroom had been converted into a mini-greenhouse complete with growing lights and special ventilation. A four-year old child found at the residence was removed by C-P-S.

Anthony is charged with felony possession of marijuana and child endangerment.

I live in a mobile home too but I don't have $500.00 in cash lying around my house OR marijuana plants.

Why is is newsworthy to add the part about $500 and a handgun? He was not charged for having a gun and cash. Many people probably have cash and a gun in their home.
