March Madness means big bucks for local businesses on game day.
Local establishments were packed with patrons as Texas A&M's men's basketball team took on Brigham Young, defeating the Cougars, 67-62.
The 6:25 p.m. tipoff probably meant better business for the Aggie-area businesses, as some games began before 11:30 a.m.
Many game-watchers out on the town said they still would have made their way out to watch the Ags play, though the employees say they were happy the A&M game was a later starter.
"We wouldn't have been as busy," said Macey Murray, an employee at Wings & More. "You'd have certain people coming in, but it wouldn't be like this at all."
"This" was packed houses of happy Aggie fans. They face UCLA coming up on Saturday.
