Blinn College, in Brenham, will have to vote again to lower its tax rate for the coming year.
A vote taken last week is void because there wasn't any notice published the local paper.
Because of higher property values in Washington County, the board voted to drop its effective rate to 5-point-1 cents per 100 dollars.
That would generate just over one million dollars for the new school year.
The board will revote September 13th.
