Governor Rick Perry's only daughter is following in her father's footsteps.
18 year old Sydney Perry is one of the close to 6,500 freshman entering Texas A&M University this fall.
Governor Perry has two children. His son is a senior at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
The governor's press office says Sydney hasn't decided on a major yet.
Governor Perry is a 1972 graduate of Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, a junior and senior yell leader, and an animal science major.
