Accident Victim Improves

The woman struck by a car near Caldwell last Friday has been upgraded to stable condition.

34-year-old Evelyn Spinks was struck while walking on the shoulder of Highway 21 just west of Caldwell. DPS says the car that hit her had pulled over on the shoulder to let another pass.

The driver has not been charged at this time.
