A former regent of the Texas A&M University System regent, who was once pardoned on a felony misconduct conviction, is going back to work for Texas A&M. Ross Margraves Jr.'s appointment to the Texas A&M University Galveston board was approved Friday by regents.

Margraves was convicted in 1996 of using a state-owned plane for a personal trip to Baton Rouge. The state parole board pardoned Margraves in 2003, a move endorsed by Governor Rick Perry.
