Bryan-born country music star, Doug Supernaw made an appearance at the Brazos County courthouse Monday morning.

Judge Randy Michel appointed Supernaw an attorney for an evading arrest charge stemming from a March incident.

In the early morning hours of March 6th, an off duty police officer says he spotted Supernaw walking along an apartment complex near Northgate.

According to court documents, Supernaw was intoxicated and belligerent, cursing at people as he walked.
Police say he then fled from the officer and was apprehended down the road.

A status hearing for Supernaw has been set for January 12th.
Supernaw will go to trial January 30th in Washington County for allegedly assaulting a peace officer.
