The motorcyclist who crashed into a flatbed truck yesterday has died. Caldwell resident Jimmie Dale Erwin, 22, died around noon Saturday at St Joseph.
About 24 hours earlier, Erwin crashed into the truck after it pulled out of a convenience store parking lot. He was rushed to the hospital with serious head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
The highway was shut down for several hours as investigators reconstructed the accident. They are still determining who was at fault. So far, no citations have been issued.
