Lightning Strike Victim Says Thank You

A Hilltop Lakes teenager who survived a lightning strike last year thanks to the people who assisted her thanked the strangers for the first time Saturday.

Krystan Pomeroy was hit by the bold of lightning on lake Limestone last July but lived because strangers restarted her heart with CPR.

Saturday, she met those people in an emotional ceremony in Groesbeck. Her life savers are Keith Williams, Daniel Busa and Lauren McClean, all of whom received medals for their bravery.

Attending the ceremony was state representative Byron Cook.

Pomeroy is still receiving therapy for damage from the lightning.
