The winners were announced at Saturday night's black tie affair for the 7th annual Bryan/College Station Hispanic Forum.
The 2005 Business of the Year was awarded to Manuel and Theresa Rodriguez School of Hair Design.
Magdalena Arevalo took home this year's Hispanic Person of the Year.
The 2005 Lifetime Achievement award belongs to Patricia Garcia Burk, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity.
Student of the Year, Martin Valdez Vivas, from A&M Consolidated High School, received a $4,000 scholarship. He will be attending Princeton University in the fall.
Thanks to the amount of money raised, the Hispanic Forum was able to give each student nominee $750 in scholarship money to their college of choice. Those nominees are Manuel Gutierrez, Aracely Veronica Santoy and Lucas Ybarra of Bryan High School and Karla Orozco of A&M Consolidated High School.
More than 500 people attended the annual awards and scholarship gala at the College Station Hilton. Following a dinner and the awards ceremony, live music was provided by Tejano bands Grupo Aviso and Grammy Award winner Emilio Navaira y Grupo Rio.
