AUSTIN -- A crowd marched to the state Capitol Saturday to protest Gov. Rick Perry's plan for 4,000 miles of toll roads across Texas.
The Trans-Texas Corridor, a proposed network of superhighway toll roads, rankles opponents who characterize it as the largest government grab of private property in the state's history and an unneeded and improper expansion of toll roads.
Rally participants carried signs with slogans like "No TTC!" and "Whodoes TTC benefit?" while listening to the band the Texicans play "The Trans-Texas Corridor Blues," the Austin American-Statesman reported for its Sunday editions.
Supporters of the corridor and toll roads say they are the only way the state's growth can be accommodated without hiking gasoline taxes.

Unfortunately this is another example of control, and they are showing us that there is nothing WE can do about it. They are aware that there is NO ORGANIZED OPPOSITION to interfere so it will just be crammed down our throats, like everything that is going on in this country, incrementally so that the pill will be swallowed. If the people knew what was planned for us there would be open resistance,....well...maybe not....I don't believe there are enough of us to stand up to them. This has been well thought out for a considerable time...years and decades in the making. Just piece together the different actions you don't agree with...are you getting the picture yet? Look at the government schools, job outsourcing, whole companies, illegal immigrants given legal status (and we pick up the bill on everything),the steady devaluing of the dollar, the fact that everything is made outside of this country. But Hey Folks, our government wouldn't do all this to us would it??? I am afraid for us.
Next election - It is time to vote "out" the law makers who support this. Your vote counts - vote them out of office!!
Solidarity with you all fighting the TTC in Texas.... We're busy trying to hold them off in Southern Indiana, where clearing has begun for I-69. Check out stopi69.wordpress.com for updates and info from Indiana. Stay strong. Land and Freedom
