Bryan Lifts Water Conservation Order

By: KBTX Staff

The mandatory water conservation order from the City of Bryan has been lifted.

While residents may again wash their vehicles, clothes and dishes, and irrigate lawns and landscaping, they are reminded that the continued hot temperatures and lack of rainfall still requires water use with conservation in mind.

Residents are asked to slowly resume their watering activities.

The order was prompted by a combination of factors including an increased population due to Hurricane Rita, wide-spread watering of lawns and landscaping once Rita’s path bypassed Bryan/College Station, and the high temperatures and lack of recent rainfall.
