Fallen hero Constable Brian Bachmann was devoted to Southwood Park where he coached little league year after year.

"We should never forget about what happened for his family and other police offficers too, "said Momoko Clapp.

Momoko Clapp, a mom who plays with her son at the park says it would be great to remember Bachman by renaming the park after him.

People who were touched by Bachmann's kindness and love for the community sent in 130 letters to the City of College Station in hopes of leaving a legacy, so that he would never be forgotten.

Christ United Methodist Church said, "His heart's desire was to serve our community and hopefully, in whatever way he could, make it a better place."

A Fellow coach said, "Nothing can replace this man. This community will never be the same. We all are lucky to have been able to know him."

Members of the College Station Little League signed their names to the letters to uplift his memory.

On Thursday, October 25th, it's expected for the College Station City Council meeting to be packed wall-to-wall as friends and family come out to support and participate in the meeting.

If the decision is approved, this will be an event that everyone will be apart of says Parks Director David Schmitz.

"This would be just in time for the spring little league season and all the kids and parents and coaches to come out and enjoy the facility," said Schmitz.
