The community will come together this week to honor survivors of sexual assault.
The Rape Crisis Center will host its 24th annual candlelight vigil on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at A&M Church of Christ on Earl Rudder Freeway in College Station.
"The vigil is important for all survivors of sexual violence." Executive Director Laury Kasowski said. "It shows them that they don't have to bear their burden in silence and they are not alone."
Past directors of the center Carolyn Ruffin and Linda Castoria-Roedel will speak about the agency's growth and its vision for the future.
The vigil is open to the public. For more information, call 731-1000.
