West Nile Spreads in South Bryan

A rash of West Nile cases have been found in Bryan and College Station.

There are seven new cases, the majority in south Bryan. An infected bird was found on Edgewood Street, and five mosquito samples from Tanglewood, Morningside, East 31st, Wayside and Spruce tested positive.

Mosquitoes collected on Village Drive in College Station also had West Nile.

Residents in those areas are being notified by flyers and automated phone messages.
