Brazos County An 18-wheeler traveling to San Antonio from Nacogdoches overturned early Wednesday morning in Brazos County.

It happened around 6 Wednesday morning on Highway 21 at the Thompson Creek Bridge, just a few miles before Highway 47.

We're told the driver lost control after his load of lumber shifted and the truck skidded about 500 feet before overturning at the bridge.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. Lumber was scattered across the Westbound lanes of Hwy 21, causing for the roadway to be shut down.

The westbound lanes of Highway 21 are blocked off from Walter Banks Road to Smetana Road just past Thompson Creek Bridge.

Crews are still on scene cleaning up from the crash.
