A fire at a College Station apartment complex forced the evacuation of three families Saturday night.
Fire crews arrived at the Southgate Village Apartments just before 11 PM and found flames and smoke pouring out of a second floor window.
Residents were safely evacuated, and the fire was under control within half an hour. One firefighter was taken to College Station Medical Center with minor burns, but was treated and released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
