Brymer Finds New Employment

After his firing became one of the biggest scandals in College Station's history, Tom Brymer has a new job.

The former city manager will take on the role of assistant city manager in the city of Olathe, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City.

Brymer spent 16 years in College Station, including six as the city manager.

Tuesday, the city council was reprimanded for Brymer's firing back in July, which happened in violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act. Councilmembers could have faced indictment for their actions, but instead made an agreement with the district attorney's office not to violate the act again.
