The Brazos County Constable's Office says Martin Vega Guzman was arrested Saturday night for public intoxication and foul language at a bowling alley.
He was placed in the front passenger seat of the patrol car, with his hands handcuffed behind his back.
Deputies say Guzman managed to unbuckle himself, and slide his feet up over the handcuffs, so that his hands ended up in front of this body.
They say Guzman then became combative while the car was moving at 65-miles-per-hour down Highway 6.
According to the Constable's office, the deputy stopped the car, and both he and Guzman got out and began to wrestling in the ditch.
They say the deputy had to use pepper spray to regain control of Guzman.
Guzman was then charged with resisting arrest. He also had to outstanding warrants in Bryan. His bond was set at $5600.
