KBTX News 3, Clear Channel Radio, The Bryan-College Station Eagle and Post Oak Mall raised more than $75,000 at the “Texas Shares” Relief Drive Friday, September 9.
$49, 395 was raised in cash donations and gift cards for the United Way and will go to Katrina evacuees staying in the Brazos Valley.
A $26, 500 donation by the New Car Dealers Association was earmarked for the American Red Cross, a portion of which will stay in the Brazos Valley.
That brings the total amount raised to $75,895 during the one-day relief drive.
