A top Bryan firefighter was arrested just after 12:30pm Tuesday in San Antonio, charged with online solicitation of a minor.

Battalion chief Nicholas Pappas was arrested Tuesday afternoon by San Antonio police.

Police arrested 47 year old Pappas when they say he showed up to meet who he thought was a 13 year old girl.

Authorities in San Antonio say Pappas had been online chatting a vice detective for three weeks. But he thought he was really chatting with a 13 year old girl.

Pappas was arrested Tuesday afternoon when he showed up in San Antonio.

Police say he was scheduled to meet up with the girl and have sex.

When he arrived he was met by several vice detectives and patrol officers.

Pappas is facing charges of online solicitation of a minor -- which is a third degree felony.

His bond is set at $15,000.
