Texas A&M soccer coach G Guerrieri is once again turning his attention away from the pitch and to a family in need.

Donations to the Coach G Charitable Foundation will go to the Verzal family to pay for one-year-old Alexis' care. The little girl is suffering from injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome.

Brazos County authorities are investigating a day care as a result of Alexis' injuries. That day care is no longer operating, according to the state.

Guerrieri is also working on a charity bash in August for the foundation.

"Aggies have big hearts," Guerrieri writes on his website. "And Aggies have always been there to help other Aggies, even when we didn't exactly know what we could do to help. The Aggie family has always been there to lend a hand. Well, this is another time when I'm hoping you'll help in whatever way you can to help this little girl and her Aggie family."

Coach G tells News 3 they'll have a way to donate via credit card in the coming days at his website, which is listed below this story.

For now, you can mail in your donations to the following address:

"Coach G Foundation"
PO Box 9432
College Station, TX 77840-9432

In the past, the foundation has helped a number of families in the area facing difficulties, including Tacey Raulerson, the now-eight-year-old local girl who lost site in both of her eyes due to bilateral retinoblastoma.
