Fighting fires is serious business, but that doesn't mean firefighters don't like to have fun.
That's one of the reasons local firefighters got together on Sunday, to compete in a "pumper race."
The race was part of a ten county firefighter convention, at the Brazos Center, in Bryan.
Teams of local firefighters competed to hook a fire truck to a hydrant, run a 150 ft hose, and then pump water through it.
Kids waited at the finish line for a nice blast of cool water.
