College Station school officials are trying figure out how a 4 year old boy managed to walk away from campus unnoticed.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at College Hills Elementary.
A pre-schooler walked half a mile away from the school before a man spotted him and called police. The school says all students were walking to an assembly at the time the boy must have wandered off.
Police are calling it a child welfare concern and don't intend to press charges. The child's mother says she's taking her son out of the school for now.
