Good news for those who have been without electricity due to hurricane Rita.

The lights may come on a lot sooner. Governor Perry says electric companies can lay temporary lines in order to restore power more quickly.

Entergy says this will help since so many of its lines were damaged by strong winds.

Less than 900 people remained without power in Walker County, 1,600 in Trinity County, and over 11,000 in Montgomery County on Thursday evening.
