Potential buyers lined up Thursday to bid on a high-profile piece of property that was once home to a dubious College Station landmark.

It has been almost four years since the Adult Video Store on Texas Avenue closed its doors. It was surrendered to the government after the owner was indicted on a variety of federal charges.

But the property's history hasn't diminished the attractiveness of its location: a stone's throw from the busiest intersection in Bryan-College Station.

Thursday's government auction included the 2,050 sq.ft. building and the three lots it occupies.
