Its what thousands of parents have been waiting for: graduation day. About 5,500 Aggie seniors are eligible to graduate this weekend.

Friday, President Elsa Murano handed out diplomas, as Aggies walked across the stage to cheers and whoops. Several grads took the opportunity to decorate their mortar boards.

Because so many seniors graduated this year, for the first time ever, the university held five separate graduation ceremonies.

Saturday afternoon, around 83 members of the Corps of Cadets will receive commissions to the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps.
