Saturday evening, Brazos Valley residents gathered to remember the millions of people affected by the earthquake in China.

"Please be assured that Texas A&M and the International Programs Office are behind you," said a speaker.

Several hundred people met near Rudder Tower on the campus of Texas A&M University.

They lit candles in honor of those lost, injured and still missing from the quake.

Groups from campus also raised donations to send to survivors.
