A College Station man who received a whopping $18,000 tax refund now knows why.

The IRS tells Michael Fredericks his ex-wife's quarterly payments were added to his $3,000 refund.

Fredericks was surprised when he received the huge check in the mail last week, but knew it had to be a mistake.

He tells us he and his ex-wife are working to get everything cleared up with Uncle Sam.

He says he was hoping that money was his, but he will be sending the massive refund check back to the IRS.
