A Franklin man will be doing prison time for two separate crimes.

Jacody Peel was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter and a drug charge. It was in April of 2006 that the 20-year-old was under the influence of drugs when he wrecked his car in College Station. His brother died in the one-car rollover.

Seven months later, Peel was pulled over and arrested for possession of meth.

A Del Rio man was also sentenced at the Brazos County Courthouse Monday.

Roberto Aguirre will serve 50 days in jail and five years probation for a sexual assault in College Station.

The 22-year-old will also perform community service and pay for a year of counseling for his victim.
