Boys:

2) Michael
3) Ethan
4) Joshua
5) Daniel
Girls:
1) Emily
2) Isabella
3) Emma
4) Ava
5) Madison
Shakespeare once said "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
Well, tell that to Texas parents many of whom put hours into figuring out what they're going to name their kids.
When it comes to the Lone Star State's most popular names there are a few differences, and we decided to put some local mom's to the test.
Many parents guessed Jonathan, William, or Tyler would be in the top five. As it turns out none of them made the list.
The top five Texas boy names are:
1) Jose
2) Jacob
3) Daniel
4) Christopher
5) Angel
Parents seemed to do a much better job when it came to guessing 2007's most popular girl names. Several mom's guessed Madison, Emily, and Elizabeth. Two out of three of those make the most popular list.
