While they're not willing to commit to anything, College Station's city council is at least willing to listen to their neighbors to the north when it comes to a municipal golf course.
Monday afternoon, the council talked about a letter from Bryan Mayor Ernie Wentrcek, who is gauging interest in a potential future venture. The council wants to leave the door open, but also wants more concrete details about costs and potential locations.
Some members said they should explore the issue, but that golf courses don't traditionally make money, and could be too much for a city focusing on a convention and visitors center.
