It was a solemn night at a local church as people stopped to remember those killed in disasters in China and Myanmar. The service was held at the A&M United Methodist Church on Northgate around 8:30 Wednesday night.
More than 78,000 people have died in Myanmar from a cyclone May 3 and the Chinese government expects the death toll from a 7.9 magnitude earthquake to surpass 50,000.
