The newborn baby found dead at the Texas World Speedway earlier this month was born alive. That was confirmed in autopsy results released Tuesday.
A forensic pathologist in Conroe ruled Baby Joseph died of suffocation and neglect.
The boy was born full term before being left in a restroom trash can on October 10th.
More than 1,000 people had attended a motorcycle race that weekend at the racetrack.
Many of the participants and spectators had come from outside of Texas for the event.
Sheriff's investigators have no suspects at this time.
If you have any information that would be helpful in identifying the mother of the child, you're asked to call the Brazos County Sheriff's Office at 361-4100.
